ABOUT FEDERAL WATCH

Evidence before conclusion.

Federal Watch is a bilingual digital research and analysis platform for understanding Myanmar’s political, security, peace-process and conflict environment through structured, source-grounded evidence.

OUR MISSION

Turn fragmented information into research that can be checked.

Myanmar-related information is often scattered across official releases, independent media, research publications and historical records. Federal Watch brings those fragments into a structured research workflow so users can understand what happened, who was involved, what changed, what remains uncertain and which sources support each finding.

WHY IT EXISTS

Context is often harder to find than the headline.

A single event can connect to years of meetings, conflict, negotiation, institutional change and competing public claims. Federal Watch is designed to preserve those connections without presenting unsupported conclusions as fact.

HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS

From public source to reviewable intelligence.

01

Sources

Public reporting, official material and research records.

02

Evidence

Claims are separated, attributed and linked back to provenance.

03

Actors & Events

People, organizations, dates, places and participation are structured.

04

Relationships

Meetings, cooperation, dialogue and conflict are connected over time.

05

Research Review

Historical context, uncertainty and supporting evidence are assembled for human review.

06

Brief & Visuals

The result becomes a concise, drill-down research product rather than a data dump.

RESEARCH FOCUS

Built around the questions serious research needs to answer.

Politics & Governance

Leadership, institutions, policy decisions and political developments.

Peace Process & EAO Relations

Negotiations, dialogue, agreements and relationships among armed and political actors.

Conflict & Security

Source-grounded conflict events, armed relationships and security developments.

Foreign Relations

Meetings, state-to-state engagement, regional diplomacy and documented strategic ties.

Legal & Rights Documentation

Publicly documented legal, accountability and rights-related records with provenance.

Economic & Strategic Developments

Economic links, strategic infrastructure and policy-relevant developments when supported by evidence.

RESEARCH STANDARD

Designed for traceability, not certainty theatre.

01

Exact chronology

Event date is kept separate from publication date and ingestion date.

02

Source provenance

Material claims remain linked to the source that supports them.

03

Actor identity

Canonical identities and aliases are preserved instead of silently merging different actors.

04

Confidence & unknowns

Insufficient evidence stays visible rather than being filled with guesses.

05

Bilingual QA

English and Myanmar outputs are structured for consistent review and comparison.

06

Human review

AI assists research and synthesis; final interpretation remains reviewable by people.

INTELLIGENCE BRAIN

A research map, not a decorative graph.

The Intelligence Brain connects actors, relationships and historical records so a user can move from a high-level network to the underlying meetings, conflict records, evidence and timelines. Its purpose is to make complex context easier to inspect—not to replace the evidence beneath it.

Actor-centered research history

Relationship and conflict context

Meeting and negotiation timelines

ACCESS

Bilingual by design.

Federal Watch supports English and Myanmar as first-class research outputs so the same evidence can be reviewed across language contexts. Additional language support should be added only when terminology and quality can be properly grounded.

RESPONSIBLE USE

Public-source research with clear boundaries.

Federal Watch is designed for lawful public-source research, historical context, documentation and source-attributed analysis. It is not intended as a personal surveillance, targeting or private-tracking system.

Public and attributable sources

Provenance preserved

Uncertainty made visible

No hidden certainty claims

PARTNERSHIP & SUPPORT

Support the research infrastructure behind better understanding.

Partnership can strengthen the parts of Federal Watch that are difficult but essential: documentation quality, bilingual access, researcher capacity, verification workflows and durable research infrastructure.

Research infrastructure

Improve structured evidence, timelines, retrieval and long-term research continuity.

Bilingual access

Strengthen English–Myanmar research quality and terminology consistency.

Documentation standards

Expand provenance, verification and quality-control workflows.

Researcher capacity

Support people, methods and tools needed for sustained public-interest research.

Federal Watch

Technology can accelerate research. Credibility still depends on evidence, context and the discipline to say when something is not yet known.
